JEFFREY ALAN TOBIAS
Mr. Tobias is a senior construction consultant. His expertise is in project planning, scheduling, cost control and schedule impact analysis. He is an expert in implementing automated systems for the Construction Industry, and frequently performs computer software/hardware installations and training workshops.
Jeffrey's diverse background spans over 22 years in construction scheduling and has applied his unique blend of construction management and computer skills in preparing analysis of construction disputes, and preparation of construction delay and disruption analysis. His experience includes a variety of high profile projects in both the public and private sector and is actively involved as the lead scheduler on over $200 million of construction.
Mr. Tobias has conducted lectures at UCLA and has been involved in a variety of lecture and training programs for the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), Los Angeles Community Development Commission, and many individualized programs for NITRO clients.
Jeffrey studied Engineering (Computer Science/Mathematics) at the University of Toledo, Ohio and received his degree in Computer Programming in 1981 and worked thereafter as a systems analyst/programmer on some of the first personal computers. Jeffrey applied these skills to the Construction Industry in developing one of the first multi-user CPM scheduling programs for Wexco Intl. Corp.. in 1984, where he served as Manager of MIS and Executive Vice President.
Mr. Tobias’ software development efforts continued with the creation of document tracking and control systems for Los Angeles County, University of California, and individualized client systems. Mr. Tobias is a founding Partner and Vice President of the consulting firm NITRO Associates, since 1992.
Highlighted professional associations and honors include Certified Management Consultant (inactive), Institute of Management Consultants, Los Angeles Chapter (inactive), Primavera Users Group, Greater Los Angeles Chapter, IBM Personal Computer Users Group, Pasadena Chapter, American General Contractors Association Computer Committee (Past Member) and Primavera CPM Plot of the Year 1989 Award.
